Mark Lanegan

Mark Lanegan is an American alternative musician and singer-songwriter. Born and raised in Ellensburg, Washington, Lanegan began his musical career in 1984, forming the grunge band Screaming Trees. He now has a career as a solo artist. Mark Lanegan released his first solo album, The Winding Sheet, in 1990. His most recent album is Straight Songs of Sorrow, released in May 2020. His singular body of work encompasses dozens of albums both solo and collaborative. His memoir, Sing Backwards and Weep was also released in 2020.

Mark Lanegan’s third solo album, Scraps at Midnight, was released in the UK by Beggars Banquet, as was his fourth, I’ll Take Care Of You.
His fifth and sixth albums Field songs, and Bubblegum were released by Beggars Banquet worldwide.
His seventh album Blues Funeral was released on 4AD after the Beggars Banquet label was retired.
