The Cult – She Sells Sanctuary
THE CULT is fronted by Ian Astbury on vocals and Billy Duffy on guitar. Their music and albums at this point need no introduction as they have cemented themselves over the years since they began in 1983, as one of the greatest rock bands around.
Love was the Cult’s second album, originally released in 1985. It was their breakthrough and produced many singles including “Rain”, “Revolution” and the epic anthem “She Sells Sanctuary”.
"She Sells Sanctuary" was recorded at Olympic studios in Barnes and produced by Steve Brown. Originally recorded and released as a stand-alone single, it was included on Love and spent months in the charts, and was one of the best selling tracks of the year.

Love and Rockets – So Alive (HD)
Love And Rockets is the seminal, groundbreaking trio of Daniel Ash (vocals and guitar), David J (vocals and bass) and Kevin Haskins (drums). They formed in 1985 after the first split of their band Bauhaus. Love and Rockets provided a clean slate and an opportunity to plumb the depths of imagination and influences.
Everything changed for the band in 1989 when they released their self-titled breakthrough fourth album Love And Rockets. The song "So Alive" was a massive worldwide #1 hit and Billboard wrote that it was the "best T. Rex tune that Marc Bolan never wrote."

Bauhaus – Spirit (HD)
Formed in 1978, The legendary and hugely influential quartet hailed from Northampton, England and is comprised of Peter Murphy, Daniel Ash, David J and Kevin Haskins. The dark, dramatic music that they made, possessed far more force, variety and playfulness than the “founding fathers of goth” tag that is always attached to them.
"Spirit" is the seventh single released by Bauhaus. It was released in 7" format on the Beggars Banquet label as a regular release and as a picture disc in 1982. Spirit came from their 1982 album "The Sky's Gone Out" which Alternative Press called “one of the top 10 essential goth albums”.

The Fall – Cruisers Creek (Extended version, HD)
Released in 1985, "Cruisers Creek" is from The Fall's eigth Album "This Nations Saving Grace"
"Cruisers Creek" was written by Brix Smith & Mark E Smith and produced by John Leckie. The video starred the Australian performance artist & Fashion designer Leigh Bowery. Leigh was a significant model and muse for the English painter Lucian Freud, as well as a club promoter at the club Taboo. Leigh sadly died at the age of 33 in 1994.
The extras in the video were hired by Mark E Smith calling out for help on the Virgin Records shop tannoy. This was Mark E Smith's first and last time directing a video.
