Dalis Car was a project created by Peter Murphy of Bauhaus and Mick Karn of Japan in 1984, formed after they left their respective bands. Their 1984 album The Waking Hour was called one of the best 20 Goth records ever made by FACT. They took their name from a Captain Beefheart song from his album Trout Mask Replica.
